1
Prep
Brush everything through
Brush your natural hair thoroughly to remove all tangles. Then brush out your Halo extension from ends to roots. Starting tangle-free is the most important step — it makes everything easier and protects both your hair and the extension.
Use a wide-tooth comb or loop brush on the extension — never a paddle brush as it stresses the weft.
2
Section
Part your hair ear to ear
Using a tail comb or your fingers, part your hair horizontally from ear to ear, sitting 1–1.5 inches back from your natural hairline. Clip or twist the top section up into a loose bun. Leave your face-framing pieces loose — these blend everything later.
The further back from your hairline you part, the more natural hair you have to cover the wire.
3
Place
Position the wire on your head
Hold the Halo by the wire like a headband and place it over your head. The wire should sit just above your ears and the weft should rest below your occipital bone — the small bump at the back of your head. Adjust until snug but comfortable.
Give your head a gentle shake — if the Halo moves, tighten the wire slightly.
4
Cover
Release and cover the wire
Let your top section down over the wire completely. Using your fingers, gently pull your natural hair over the wire until it's fully hidden. The face-framing pieces will fall naturally at the front to blend everything together.
Be gentle — use your fingers to check the wire is covered before reaching for a comb.
5
Blend & Style
Style everything together
Curl or straighten your natural hair and the Halo together using a heat protectant. Styling both as one piece is the secret to a completely seamless finish. Even a few loose waves instantly blends the Halo with your natural hair.
Always use heat protectant and keep tools under 180°C. Extensions don't receive natural moisture from your scalp.

1
Prep
Brush and sort your wefts
Start with clean, dry, tangle-free hair. Brush your hair and all wefts thoroughly. Lay your wefts out from largest to smallest so you work in the right order from the bottom up. For fine or silky hair, apply a little dry shampoo or texturising spray to your roots for extra grip.
Two mirrors — one in front, one handheld — make it much easier to see the back sections.
2
First Section — Nape
Start at the nape of your neck
Part your hair horizontally 1 inch above the nape of your neck. Clip everything above it up. Take your widest weft — lightly backcomb the roots for grip, then open the clips and press the centre clip first, then work outward to the sides.
Always close the centre clip first — it anchors the weft evenly.
3
Second & Third Sections
Work upward with each weft
Release approximately 1 inch of hair above your previous weft and clip the rest back up. Attach the next weft — centre clip first, then sides. Never place wefts too close to the crown — they'll show through.
Keep your sections clean and horizontal — uneven sections create visible bumps.
4
Side Wefts
Frame your face — don't skip this
Create a horizontal section 2 inches above each ear. Clip in your small 2-clip wefts here, angled slightly backward so they lay flat. This is the step most people skip — but it's what makes extensions look completely natural rather than just added at the back.
Keep side wefts at least 1 inch from your hairline.
5
Blend & Style
Release, blend and finish
Release all your hair and use a wide-tooth comb or loop brush to gently blend everything together. Curl or straighten both your natural hair and extensions together — styling them as one piece creates that seamless finish.
Avoid brushing over the clips — brush below them and work downward.
For volume only
Mid-back and sides
Skip the nape weft. Focus 2–3 wefts at mid-back through upper back plus both side wefts.
For length
Nape to upper back
Use the full set from nape upward for maximum length coverage and the best blend through the lengths.
For a ponytail
Below ear level only
Place everything at nape and mid-back only. Nothing above ear level keeps all clips hidden under the elastic.
