Colour match

How do I know what colour is right for me?

Our hair extensions are available in 6 shades and 4 effects:

  • Dark Colors: Jet Black, Natural Black, 
  • Medium Colors: Medium Brown, Light Brown
  • Light Colors: Platinum Blonde, Light Blonde

Our human hair extension sets are crafted using a multi-tonal adapting technique. This method combines lighter and darker strands of the same color, providing highlights and lowlights that ensure perfect blending, depth, and dimension. As a result, the final color seamlessly works with a broader range of shades and adapts beautifully for balayage or ombre effects.

How to care for your extensions

How often should I wash my hair extensions?

To maintain the quality and longevity of your Love The Style (LTS) hair extensions, it is recommended to wash them every 15-20 wears or when they start to look or feel dirty. Here are some tips to bear in mind when washing your LTS hair extensions:

Washing Guidelines:

  1. Detangle: Before washing, gently brush your extensions to remove any tangles. Start from the ends and work your way up to avoid causing damage.
  2. Use Gentle Products: Opt for sulphate-free and alcohol-free shampoos and conditioners to keep the extensions hydrated and prevent them from drying out.
  3. Lukewarm Water: Wash the extensions with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it can strip the hair of its natural oils.
  4. Gentle Washing: Apply shampoo and gently massage it into the hair. Avoid rubbing or twisting the extensions.
  5. Conditioning: Apply conditioner from mid-length to ends, avoiding the roots or where the extensions are attached. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
  6. Rinse Thoroughly: Make sure all product is completely rinsed out to avoid build-up.
  7. Pat Dry: Pat the extensions dry with a towel. Do not rub them as this can cause frizz and tangling.
  8. Air Dry: Let the extensions air dry whenever possible. If you must use a hairdryer, use a low heat setting to avoid damage.

Additional Tips:

  • Avoid Over-Washing: Washing too frequently can strip the hair of natural oils and reduce the lifespan of your extensions.
  • Use a Wide-Tooth Comb: After washing, use a wide-tooth comb to gently detangle the extensions.
  • Deep Conditioning: Occasionally use a deep conditioning treatment to keep the extensions soft and moisturised.
  • Heat Protection: If styling with heat, always use a heat protectant spray to minimise damage.

How should I store my DIY hair extensions?

Proper storage is essential to maintain the quality and lifespan of your DIY hair extensions. Here are some tips on how to store them effectively:

Storage Guidelines:

  1. Clean and Dry: Ensure your hair extensions are clean and completely dry before storing them. Damp extensions can lead to mold and unpleasant odors.

  2. Brush and Detangle: Gently brush your extensions to remove any tangles or knots. Use a wide-tooth comb or a brush specifically designed for hair extensions.

  3. Use a Hair Extension Hanger: If you have a hair extension hanger, use it to hang your extensions. This helps maintain their shape and prevents tangling. Clip-in extensions can be hung by the clips, while tape-in and weft extensions can be secured with hair ties or clips.

  4. Storage Bag: Store your extensions in a breathable storage bag to protect them from dust, dirt, and damage. A satin or silk bag is ideal, as it reduces friction and static, which can cause tangling and frizz.

  5. Avoid Heat and Sunlight: Keep your extensions in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. Excessive heat and sunlight can cause the extensions to fade and dry out.

  6. Flat Storage: If you don't have a hanger, you can lay the extensions flat. Place them on a clean, flat surface and smooth them out to prevent any bends or creases. Cover them with a silk or satin scarf to protect from dust.

  7. Avoid Plastic Bags: Avoid storing your extensions in plastic bags as they can trap moisture, leading to mildew and damage.

  8. Travel Tips: When travelling, use a dedicated hair extension travel case or wrap them in a silk or satin scarf and place them in a protective bag. This will prevent them from getting tangled or damaged in your luggage.

Additional Tips:

  • Label Extensions: If you have multiple sets or different colours, label your storage bags to easily identify each set.
  • Regular Check: Periodically check on your stored extensions to ensure they remain in good condition and tangle-free.
  • Avoid Stacking: Avoid stacking multiple extensions on top of each other, as this can cause tangling and creases.

Ordering and delivery

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account.

We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. 

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through to despatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online via Austrailia Post or DHL.

How much is shipping?

Shipping Rates:
Shipping is on us... We want you to spend your money on your hair and not on shipping. 

How quickly do you ship?

Processing Time:
Orders are  processed within 1 business days after payment confirmation. Orders placed before 3pm AEDT will ship same day

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order.

If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at hi@lovethestyleextensions.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

Why has my order been canceled?

We typically only cancel orders if you’ve asked us to cancel or in some instances where we have tried to contact you to verify your payment.

Please accept our apologies if your order is canceled because of a problem at our end. We’ll always offer an alternative product and process your refund in full, as quickly as possible.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it.

If you contact us straight away after ordering, via hi@lovethestyleextensions.com  (or live chat us) we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. If not, we’ll despatch your order and then you can return it to us if you wish upon receiving it.

Can I alter my order?

Sure, if we have not shipped your order then for sure. Unfortunatley if your order is on it's way then we are uable to edit your order. 

What countries do you ship to?

We ship to worldwide wiuth DHL Express

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Shoppay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Afterpay and all major credit cards. In some instances you may be redirected to another payment gateway site (eg afterpay)

We only take payment once your order has been shipped. 

Where is my refund?

We aim to process refunds within three days of an item being returned to us. Please note, however, that your bank may take several days to process the payment back into your account. With that said, please allow up to ten working days after posting the item back to us before getting in touch about your refund. We’ll contact you by email to let you know when your refund has been processed.

Returns

Can I return or exchange an item?

We have a 150-day return policy, which means you have 150 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. 

We include a colour match stip in your order so please use this before opening your item fully. 

Any miss treatment based on our care guidelines mean you may not be eligible for a refund.

We offer free exchanges for change of shade. So as soon as your return is on the way if you would like an alternate shade instead of a refund we will send it out immediately so you do not need to wait. 

How do I return an item?

To start a return, you can contact us at hi@lovethestyleextensions.com.
Please include your order number in your email.

You will be requested to send photos of the item you would like to return to the team. 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

What do I do if I lose my return note?

We send return notes by email, so if you can locate the email we sent you, simply print off a new one. If you can’t find this email, please get in touch and ask for it to be resent to you.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via hi@lovethestyleextensions.com.au with the details. We’ll respond within 24 hours. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, in its original packaging with all labels attached.

How long does it take to return an item and get your money back?

This depends on the carrier or shipping method that you choose when returning your item. Once we receive your return, we’ll notify you by email. We aim to process refunds within 1 day after receiving the item into our warehouse, but it can take several days for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund into your account, or onto your card.
